About the Programme

This project, Integrating Methane Mitigation into National Agriculture Strategies, aims to develop data coordination, monitoring tools, and institutional capacity, enabling action to reduce methane emissions through manure management. Its objectives are: i) Align MAPA's SLCP methodology with both domestic and international standards under the framework of Plan ABC+'s MAPR; ii) Strengthen the capability of MAPA's sub-national workgroups to develop or update MAPR-centric sub-national action plans as part of Plan ABC+; and iii) Provide MAPA with strategic technical guidance on integrating manure treatment, energy production, nutrient cycling, and SLCP reduction.
